Bodybuilding has become a very popular sport over the past few decades. A bodybuilder trains with heavy weights to increase strength and to build fat muscles for posing competitions or cosmetic purposes. While some body builders do so for competition purposes, still others simply like the look they can create for their own motivation.

Bodybuilders also learn how to perform poses that accentuate the display of different muscle groups for purposes of being rated by competition judges.

Various training methods are used by bodybuilders to get results, including training techniques like Positions of Flexion (POF), Static Contraction Training (SCT), High Intensity Training (HIT), Superslow Training, Hyper Contraction and Plyometrics.

Do you compete? Have you considered competing? Ok, so, you’ve been training and lifting in the gym for months. Why are you keeping it under wraps? Shy? Or are you afraid? Your friends all say you have a great physique. But, has a panel of physique judges judged that body and compared it side-by-side together with other physiques?

To win in bodybuilding competitions requires a certain level of physical and mental discipline. Do you have what it takes? Ok, let’s say you do, but do you know what to do to get there? Stay Tuned…

Physique contests for women date back to at least the 1960s, with contests like the Miss Physique and Miss Americana. However, these early “bodybuilding” contests were really not much more than bikini contests. The first U.S. Women’s National Physique Championship, promoted by Henry McGhee and held in Canton, Ohio in 1978, is generally regarded as the first true female bodybuilding contest - that is, the first contest where the entrants were judged solely on muscularity

nikki warner - shemusclegym - shemuscle

I’m currently a pharmacy student at Ball State University. I already have a bachelor degree in Dietetics. I have been lifting twelve years, competing for 8 years. During those years I competed in bodybuilding off and on for five years and figure for 3 years.

Fitness Model, Competitor
Figure is much more suitable for me since I have a natural physique with lots of soft feminine curves. In my heart, natural, healthy feminine muscles is what female bodybuilding and fitness should be about.
